In 2011, I traveled with a group of people to work a a school that is home to almost 500 children (almost all orphans). There, we worked side by side with the children and learned about the Ranch's operations. Each student is required to take courses in a specific trade. They have the option to choose from carpentry, electricity, shoe making, seamstress, tailoring and welding, and even life skills/home economics. Many of the children became orphans due to the rampant gang violence in the country.
