In May 2014, a group of 10 students from Los Angeles, California's Loyola Marymount University traveled to the Syrian border to work with a program run by UNICEF. There, we provided music & art workshops for Syrian refugee children. We also played soccer with them to distract them from the atrocities they had seen in their neighboring home country.
